Legendary South African soul singer, Johny Mokhali, is the guest performer at Jossie Kauandenge’s birthday music bash at the Khomasdal Stadium on October 27.
This will be for the first time that Mokhali is performing in Namibia. The musical legend is well- known across the world has produced up to 26 albums. His hit songs include Lerato Ka Mogala and Mpule just to mention a few. For the past few years, Jossie has performed in South Africa, where he produced a song and shot a music video of the song Pandeka, which enjoyed airplays on both the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) on the Whatagwan programme, as well on One Africa Television.
Top Namibian artists such as Big Ben, One Blood, Matongo Famiy, Wild Dogs and Ongoronomundu will join Jossie on stage. He says this is a rare opportunity for Namibians to see Mokhali live on stage and this is an opportunity not to be missed. Activities will be start in the morning, Saturday, October 27, with a kids’ fun corner and jumping castle, kids toys and other activities. Sporting lovers will also enjoy soccer matches leading to the build-up of the main musical event in the evening.
Jossie will also introduce his own son, Penaani Kauandenge, to the wider public as the next best thing in Namibian music industry, at the night show. The young lad, sixteen years old, has a very promising musical career, as he will release his debut album on that night as well. Mokhali will land October 24 in Namibia at the Hosea Kutako International Airport, and he will sign autographs the next day at Antonio Arts from two O’clock in the afternoon, while he will also have interviews with various radio stations and televisions.
