School Gets 1st Photocopier
"By Staff Reporter WINDHOEK ""In the world of fast changing technology, the use of ICT equipment such as photocopy machines has become crucial to the everyday operations of any school in the country."" So said the Deputy Mayor of Windhoek, Elaine Trepper, when she spoke at a handing over ceremony at the Bet-El Primary School in Katutura. A photocopy machine was handed to the school as a donation by the councillor of the Katutura East constituency, Elina Ndapuka. ""With this gesture the Katutura East constituency has recognized the important role it has to play in the communities in which it operates. We believe community outreach of this kind is a social responsibility, which in turn creates goodwill in the community,"" Trepper said. In her opinion education is a shared responsibility of both the private and public sectors. "
