A staff member from the Natangwe Primary School in the Oshikoto region was robbed of N$26 000 at Oshakati. According to Oshana police spokesperson Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, the 52-year-old victim had allegedly withdrawn the money from a local bank at a local shopping mall.
The money was meant for procuring school material. The incident happened on Tuesday around 14h00. “She was robbed by three unknown suspects who grabbed the bag containing the money,” said Aiyambo.
The suspects fled in a getaway white sedan. They have not been arrested and police investigations continue. Still in Oshakati, the police have apprehended two suspects on stock theft after they allegedly stole two goats. It is alleged the two suspects slaughtered the goats at Onawa village in Oshana.
“The suspects allegedly slaughtered the complainant’s two goats in the nearby surrounding bushes, and were spotted by a certain passerby who reported the matter to the community and the complainant as well,” said Aiyambo. They are valued at N$1 800
