SPCA Appeals for Help
By Staff Reporter WINDHOEK The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is appealing for financial assistance to provide proper care to the pets that are in their care. Although the SPCA kennels are meant for 140 dogs (excluding boarding kennels), it has close to 190 dogs. Of these, 125 were brought in January alone. In December, the SPCA took in 95 dogs of which 29 were puppies while in 2006, 147 dogs comprising 60 puppies were taken in. The same month, the SPCA got 66 cats of which 35 were kittens, while the previous year it received 57 cats of which 23 were kittens. SPCA's Ilga Gla
