Many surprises await Jazz Festival goers
"  Organisers promise a ‘Selfie Corner’ where fans can take selfies as they enter the gates, and upload them onto their social media platforms. In addition, there is also going to be an SMS scroll on screens – whereby fans will be posting dedications, comments and shout outs to their friends, which will appear on the screens thus enhancing the festival experience. “We will make the festival more lively and interactive,” says Saara Iipinge, from Cyber Communications.

Hop Pansula (HHP) billed to be headlining the event, some festival goers can’t hide their excitement with others still unsure. “I’m not sure whether I’ll be attending. I’m still to decide though but if I do go I hope, organisers live up to the expectations,” says Esmee Kooper. Gabriel Munika says he enjoyed last year’s show and is looking forward to this year because the festival always lives up to its promises. “Some of the lined up acts are not what I expected but this is one of the biggest festival in the country and missing it is not in my books,” excites Munika. Another fan of the festival, Chemical Chemi adds that, “I’ll be there no matter what.” The prestigious and historic Windhoek Jazz Festival will once again be hosted at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium on Saturday, October 24 from 15h00 till late. Local artists who will be performing include eclectic group Fu Jazz All Stars; celebrated Namibian singer/ songwriter Lise Ehlers; one of Namibia’s premier Jazz, Neo Soul and Funk musicians, Sean K and Namibian singers/songwriters, Dixon and Zen-Zo. The event is organized by the City of Windhoek with their partners Windhoek Lager, Air Namibia, 99 FM, Jameson and Adforce. Tickets for the event are ONLY available at Computicket outlets countrywide for N$250 in advance and no tickets will be sold at the gate. "
