Tjiueza is still firmly with the Magicians
Windhoek Contrary to reports that MTC Premiership outfit Tura Magic’s inspirational skipper Neville Tjiueza has joined Katutura glamour football club African Stars in a permanent deal – the Magicians say their most prized asset was only sent out on loan until the rest of the season. Tjiueza is among a number of footballers from the Magicians that were sent out on loan deals to fellow premiership campaigners and teams from the lower division. According to a statement issued by the club, the move was triggered by the posted players’ limited activity – thus allowing them to join clubs where they can enjoy more game time. Some of the playing personnel who have been shipped off include long-serving pocket-sized defender Robby Iyambo. The latter has joined premiership rivals FNB Orlando Pirates, while the pair of Nino Kooper and Upengisa Ujaha have joined Unam. Andreas Gebhardt has been sent to MTC Premiership strugglers Flamingoes and Mohammed Akuffo to Civics, while Samfried Maharero and Unomasa Tjitaura joined forces with Mali Ngarizemo’s MTC Premiership bound outfit Young African. The clubs have first right of refusal should they want to make the loan deals permanent. “Tura Magic wishes all the loaned out players the best of luck and expresses the hope that they will ‘turn on the magic’ at their new clubs,” reads a statement by the club. Meanwhile, the club has promoted two youngsters Cornelius ‘Kaka’ Ujeta and Ebson Tjiueza from feeder team Namib Colts. Ghanaian striker Dennis Adussei also arrived from the highly competitive Ghanaian Premier League outfit Wa All Stars.
