Top trending - Vote for who?

The top trending clip on our radar is of a Khorixas resident who said she is not interested in voting in the regional and local government authority elections, as she perceives no change coming from her participation in the voting process.
In an interview carried by the NBC, the resident Lisa Kharases said it is almost useless to vote because nothing new happens and the council has the same members who migrate from one party to the next within the council.

She said: “It was UDF, there was no difference, Swapo – no difference. LPM will be the same and PDM will also be the same. There is nothing that will change in this Khorixas. The problem here is that you find those who are in the council moving from UDF to Swapo and vice versa. It’s the same people being recycled in those positions, sitting in the council – no difference.”
The 35-second NBC clip was received with humour when some on social media were in agreement with her sentiments with others echoing their tiredness with the lack of proper service delivery countrywide.
Namibians took to different polling stations across the country on Wednesday to vote for who they feel will best serve the interest of the masses in the 121 constituencies they represent.
