2016-05-11Staff Report 2 Windhoek The long romance between Total Namibia and the Namibia Motor Sports Federation has come to an end, this after the company resolved to discontinue its sponsorship of the annual Total Tara Rally for 2016. “This unexpected and somewhat shocking decision was not taken lightly, particularly in view of the fact that Total has a long history with the Tara Rally in Windhoek,” reads a statement from Total. Said Total Namibia’s MD Naftal Kakwambi: “Over the last two years, Total has been busy with revamping the service stations with a new look and new offers putting forecourt employees in new uniforms. There is a new advertising campaign about to be launched and we are exploring other marketing avenues.” Total wishes the Windhoek Motor Club well in its future endeavours and extends its gratitude towards the club for delivering the logistics of the Tara Rally year after year. 2016-05-11Staff Report 2
