Windhoek - Two men are said to be in a serious but stable condition in hospital after a double shooting that started as a land dispute at Otjoruhavi village, Eiseb Block in the Omaheke Region last Friday. Police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi said two groups of people have a dispute over a piece of land. He said the first group erected some structures on the land while the second group came to demolish the structures of the opposing group and in place of the demolished shacks they reportedly erected their own. “The other group visited the disputed land allegedly with the view to establish why the other group has demolished their structures,” he said. Kanguatjivi said it is alleged that the opposing group which was at the disputed land shot at the rival group with a rifle when they were approaching the land in question. The victims were identified as Summer Kandjii and Julius Kambirongo. Both were admitted to Gobabis hospital. One of the suspects has since been arrested.
