UNICEF Concerned Over Children in Flood Camps
"By Catherine Sasman OSHAKATI UNICEF says it is ""very concerned"" over the status of children in camps for flood victims in Oshakati and Ongwediva. Many children affected by forced school closures due to still-persistent high water levels in the affected areas, said UNICEF's Public Relations Officer Judy Matjila, are ""idling and loitering with nothing to do"". Many of the schools in the Oshana region have been closed for most of the first school term. Regional Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education, Immanuel Aipanda, said of the 130 schools in the region, 11 schools with Grade 10 learners have been closed since the end of January. Similarly, an additional 10 primary schools have been closed. This means that 2??????'??"
