Flame sets eyes on online radio

Local producer Nesley Taylor, also known as Flava Flame, is set to join the fray where many feared but tried to establish themselves as being a powerful medium of communication, which has the potential of reaching thousands if not millions online.
Joining the likes of newly established Informanté radio Otji FM and Eagle FM, Flame’s Lockdown Radio will soon be streaming live to try and stand out among the rest.

Speaking to Entertainment Now!, Flame said he realized that radio in our country is fading because of a lack of creativity. “The same can be said with music production and artists as well as laying the foundation in the music industry. I feel it’s the next best thing to engage with the music that I birthed,” he explained.

The idea behind the online radio station was birthed since he was part of Unam Radio’s heydays. 06 Live Radio was only founded in 2017 when he started to concentrate on it after parting ways with Base FM.
He started introducing the online platform in segments on a WhatsApp group where he hosts interviews with artists around the country in between slots and of course playing music.

Quizzed as to why he has been off the radar for quite some time now he told this reporter that he wanted to concentrate on being a solopreneur and be able to get his own thing going. ‘’Television was cool but didn’t really pay much, so I had to find my space, decide to be my own boss, do things at my own pace and I decided to blend in with society.”
Flame believes his online radio platform will revamp the entertainment industry this year with a lot of exciting announcements to be made by the end of February.

On the music front, he already has new material that will be released with new talent to emerge, he promised. “The future has begun so expect to see a lot of material which is gonna be coming and I mean good things. At the same time introducing fresh and upcoming musicians. Don’t forget I got a single out titled ‘One God’. It is something I did during lockdown, it got a message,’’ he said.
