Nurturing and guiding the next generation of violinist in the country is of fundamental importance to popular violist, Ronaldo Kandume (24) who will offer violin classes to children over the age of 6.
With over a decade of experience, Ronaldo (as he is known on stage) will offer an essential beginner guide to playing and using a violin and year-round programming for children.

Lessons already started two weeks ago while they are trying to raise funds so that they can have the classes free.“Giving your child the gift of music while they are still young can be one of the most meaningful investments you could make in their lives,” stated the violinist, adding that offering these classes is also a way of ploughing back to the community.
Ronaldo credits his upbringing for that focus on excellence and his fierce work ethic.

Although the talent was born out of what seemed like a hobby, the music educator said music has been a part of his life since day one, and it has intertwined with life lessons that he is sought to pass on to his learners.

During the face to face and online classes, learners will share a love of music and learn to play with others through the ensemble experience.
Elaborating on how children will benefit from these classes, Ronaldo said his learners will be enriched from music lessons.
With the lessons, they can continue with music as a career, enjoy it as a serious amateur pursuit, or play casually for their own benefit and that of their friends and family.

Throughout his career, Ronaldo has played for a crowd of several hundred at related honours concerts, featured music giants such as Gazza and Southern African artist Nasty C and also played with the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra as the first violinist.
“I feel like I am living the dream,” he exclaimed.

The lessons are offered at the Suiderhoff primary school and interested individuals and parents are more than welcome to contact +264 81 124 1362 or visit www.yonamibia.org
