By William J. Mbangula Oshakati The police at Okatope in the Oshikoto Region have arrested a 20-year-old woman for allegedly raping a nine-year-old boy. The suspect, Toini Nambata Nathanael from Omashasha village, appeared in the Ondangwa magistrate's court on Monday. She was denied bail, and her case was postponed to November 29 for further investigation. Police spokesperson, Jonas Matheus, said repeated incidents of rape have been reported since last year. In this instance the rape was only detected when the boy started complaining to his parents about back pains. In another criminal incident, three suspects were arrested in connection with the death of 20-year-old Ambrosius Thimoteus from Oshuungu in Omusati Region over the weekend. He was beaten and stabbed to death by the suspects after a drinking spree in the village. The suspects who appeared in court are 26-year-old musician, Thimoteus 'Luca Basta' Ndjendja, 18-year-old Sam Shoopala and 16-year-old Samwel Amupolo. They were denied bail in the Oshakati Magistrate Court, and their case was postponed to October 30 for further investigation.
