Wine club presents wine and networking event

The Windhoek Wine Club presents a wine and networking event, creating an opportunity for wine lovers to interact and network, while offering an opportunity for professionals in the grape industry to meet and engage.
The event is scheduled for 27 February at The Business Lounge in Windhoek.

According to the president of the wine club, Iyaloo Magongo, the event brings a unique experience to young professionals who seek to network and establish connections while promoting viticulture.

“The core of networking is about building long-term relationships and building lasting connections; hence, we are encouraging young professionals to embrace social events as an opportunity to learn from others and to lend a helping hand to people you meet,” she added.
Held under the motto ‘In vino veritas’, which means there is truth in wine, the events’ primary emphasis is to have fun by fusing three activities: cultivating the knowledge of wine, the appreciation of it, and networking with fellow wine enthusiast.

“the wine and networking event provides wine lovers with a prospect to engage, connect and establish partners, future employers and potential investors,’’ she said, adding that members of the club have since been practising effective networking by hosting monthly social events and have since built and maintained a strong support system of the club.

The Windhoek Wine Club encourages young professionals to participate in social clubs/events, as it allows them to build new friendships, explore personal interests, create excitement in their lives, switch up their routine and develop skills and knowledge valuable for life.
Magongo said the wine and networking event is succinct but covers much more than just tasting notes.
“We will have a special guest, a trained and knowledgeable wine professional Irvine Manomano, amazing conversations around personal branding, and a lot of networking,” she added.

The Windhoek Wine Club, established in 2020, promotes the love of wine by providing wine lovers the chance to learn about the wonderful world of wine; they socialize and meet a diverse group of people with similar interests.
Tickets to the event can be accessed on the club’s website.
