2015-09-25Staff Report 2 Windhoek Women from all sphere of Namibia are bade to join the session of empowerment as the KOI International Worship Centre kicks off with its fifth Women’s Conference. The two day conference themed It’s our time aims to empower women through the inspirational word, practical and relevant information relating to health and wellbeing, as well as equipping women to be effective as wives, mothers, daughters, business owners and employees. Host, Tanya Amey, says the event will be a unique and exhilarating experience for women to come together and be empowered. “Every year we hold a women’s conference which [changes] lives of many women and we are grateful to God for being a part of that. It’s relevant, real as women can illuminate in every area of their lives. Women will learn how to pursue their dreams no matter what obstacles they are in.” “We will have discussions on never giving up due to time restraints. This year will be no exception to the things that we have planned for the women who will attend,” says Amey. Through the conference the Centre also provides financial and business assistance to the community through its outreach programme, Change4 Change (C4C) and as a result last year awarded two local businesses unsung heroin awards for their efforts and contribution to the community. The event will be graced by emboldened and passionate motivational speaker from South Africa Reverend Pearl Kupe, and the very outspoken Theresa Conradie. Attendants will also be amused with live dance performances.
