Yet Another Incentive for Bank's Senior Clients
"By Staff Reporter WINDHOEK Bank Windhoek last week introduced a new low-cost savings and transaction account tailored to meet the needs of senior clients over the age of 55 years. The product, called Senior Save account, offers free and low-cost banking services to senior clients with a monthly income of up to N$15 000 per month. ""Understanding that our senior citizens have unique banking needs, Bank Windhoek created a banking product that adds more value to our senior clients. Bank Windhoek's Senior Save account allows our senior clients to save, whilst doing their day-to-day banking business cost-effectively. ""In addition, they also have access to our internet banking and CellPhone banking services,"" emphasized James Hill, Managing Director of Bank Windhoek. With a Senior Save account clients will earn a very competitive interest rate of 7 percent on the balance in their account, and no monthly service fee is charged. To help senior citizens save even more, Bank Windhoek has reduced fees applicable to the Senior Save account. Withdrawals at Bank Windhoek ATMs and Internet banking services are absolutely free. No fees are charged for debit orders, and neiter are point-of-sale fees charged for card purchases. ""Taking into consideration that many of our senior citizens feel safer conducting their banking business inside one of our branches, Bank Windhoek has dropped its over-the-counter withdrawals to a low N$5,25 per transaction."" The launch of Senior Save and CellPhone Banking follows on the successful launch of two other accessible and affordable products, namely Easy Save, a low-cost bank account for lower income earners and Easy Credit, an unsecured loan facility for loans up to N$2 500."
