Despite the fear of exhaustion due to congested fixtures, Afrocats Lions mentor Dimitri Bittler is adamant they can cope with the pressure of playing three matches in one weekend when action continues in the MTC Namibia Netball Premier League (NNPL). 

They are scheduled to face Namibia Correctional Service (NSC) and Tigers back-to-back tomorrow at the Patrick Iyambo College courts in the capital, before confronting newly promoted Wanderers in Sunday’s action.

“It is going to be a very tough weekend for us, as we will be playing three games against three very strong teams. We are already feeling the pressure as fatigue could take a toll on our players. I don’t know how we will manage because we usually have like an hour to rest before returning to the courts, but we will find a way around this dilemma and emerge stronger and victorious,” said a confident Bittler.

“We won’t give up. We will relish the challenge and take on every team with the same determination and focus. We will be going for maximum points in every single match we play. I believe we have players that are capable and can lead the team to the wins we need,” he said.

In tomorrow’s other fixtures in Windhoek, Tigers will face Wanderers while in Otjiwarongo, Mighty Gunners will take on Otjozondjupa Nampol in another exciting match. 

Meanwhile, in Walvis Bay, there will be a coastal derby between the Namibian Navy and Eleven Arrows. On Sunday, NCS will take on Tigers.
