Nearly 200 pupils have tested positive for Covid-19, with the Oshikoto region reporting 101 cases involving learners yesterday. Health minister Dr Kalumbi Shangula yesterday announced 182 learners have been infected with coronavirus. Shangula said the health ministry is currently working in close collaboration with the education ministry and stakeholders to urgently address the increase in cases among learners.  “We urge all school authorities, teachers, learners and parents to assist in this fight against further spread of Covid-19 infection in schools. Learners are strongly encouraged to strictly adhere to the existing Covid-19 infection prevention and control measures,” Shangula said. He further announced that two healthcare workers also tested positive to coronavirus infection. On a sad note, he also announced a Covid-19 related death.
