SAATM holds major potential for Africa’s economic transformation – IATA

WINDHOEK – Namibia has yet to sign up to the African Union’s Single Africa Air Transport Market (SAATM) project, after 28 countries on the continent have already signed up. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a single air transport market for the continent, if implemented, gives Africa the potential for economic transformation and the association has urged the remaining 27 countries to follow suit.

Businessman builds kindergarten for his community

WINDHOEK - Businessman Fulbertus Kwedhi with the help of his wife Lucia Shindume-Kwedhi built a kindergarten and also used his own money to build an office for Swapo Party in Okathitu Konkayi village in Omusati Region. The two projects cost the couple over N$300 000.

Swapo gala dinner raises N$437 000 in Erongo

WALVIS BAY - A gala dinner on Saturday hosted in Walvis Bay by Swapo Party’s Erongo Region branch raised N$437 000.
The glamorous event was attended by the vice-president of the party Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Vice President Nangolo Mbumba, the Minister of Land Reform Utoni Nujoma, Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development Derek Klazen as well as the local business community.
