WINDHOEK - Although there was criticism about Operation Hornkranz from some quarters, the joint police/army operation has been welcomed by a significant number of citizens as an initiative worth maintaining, said Namibian Police Force Deputy Inspector-General for Operations Oscar Peter Embubulu.

OUTAPI - The Omusati Regional Council has pledged to be hands-on, monitoring and ensuring that contractors at various projects in the region deliver quality work for the regional authority.

RUNDU - The police in Kavango West are investigating a case whereby a 19-year-old man was bumped along the Rundu-Nkurenkuru B10 main road. The unknown driver failed to report the accident nor render any assistance to the injured victim as is required by law.

SWAKOPMUND - Fishing right applicants will have to wait for at least three more months before the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources announce the list of successful candidates.

OSHAKATI – A 38-year-old man convicted of dealing in cannabis, illegal entry into Namibia through undesignated point and money laundering has pleaded with the Oshakati Regional Court to issue him with a fine.
