Pan African Women’s Day (PAWD) is observed each year on 31 July to commemorate the First Pan African Women’s Conference, held in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, in 1962. The theme of the 59th anniversary of PAWD is “financial inclusion of women, challenges and opportunities”.
