…Bush League on course
WINDHOEK – Its official, the eight best-placed teams in the popular 18-team Samora Machel Informal Football League, are to battle it out for supremacy and for ‘king of the jungle’ bragging rights upon completion of league activities in the current term.
Football enthusiasts are waiting with bated breath for their favourite teams to contest the much-anticipated popular Super Kasie City Tourney on November 24 later this year. Action gets underway at the gravel Coca Cola Park, wedged between the Havana and Wanaheda residential areas near the corner of Monte Christo and Otjomuise roads not far from Greenwell Matongo northwest of Katutura. Eleven Champions are living up to their name after accumulating a massive points tally of 63 from a possible 81, which is no mean feat. They lead the log standings by four points after 27 matches.
