WINDHOEK– The Southern African Development Community (SADC) music festival which kicked off in the Capital over the weekend at the Independence Arena on Saturday  continues tonight at Bennis Entertainment Park  in Ongwediva and tomorrow night at the Rundu Stadium.

The festival has been featuring the likes of  Jurbo from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Keiroma Rantao from Botswana, Matilde Kondjo from Mozambique, Organase Family from  Zambia, Shakira from South Africa, Mujela Jela from Tanzania, Breda Mixxi  from Zimbambwe and our own Tequila, Blossom and many more.

Next in line next Friday, December 14 is the Ngweze Community Hall in Katima Mulilo. According to the organiser Frank Kasongo this is a good opportunity to present Namibian artists to other African artists. “I went by all means to bring this festival myself without any sponsorship just to promote our country and artists,” says Kasongo. Jurbo Ntunta from DRC and Mujela Jela from Tanzania will be performing live at all shows. “It will be a festival to remember, so everyone must bring their country flag to support their artist,” entices Kasongo further urging the music lovers to attend in numbers, to give the country a green light. “ I am counting on everyone to be part of this festival, because by that we will have the privilege  to host it next year and  I am looking forward to host it next year again,” he says.
