WINDHOEK– Wernhill Parking will turn into veritable catwalks, filled with VIPs and fashion lovers as Namibia’s most celebrated fashion designer, Hem Matsi together with Ipaha Travels and Bling Entertainment brings you the latest Hemline summer collections under the theme Modern versus Culture.
The fashion show brings together Namibia’s own leading designers including, Ruusa Namuhuya, McBright Kavari and Beverly Kaposiao together with Hem Matsi against two guest designers from Italy, former Big Brother Africa representatives, Zimbabwean Pokello Nare and Ghanaian Elikem Kumordzi. “We want to promote Namibian culture in the style of modern garments with a distinct cultural feel that will be worn by people on a day to day basis. This will be a good opportunity for us to exchange cultures,” says Matsi.
“The effort to bring two Italians and the Ghanaians designers is to try and promote our designers and expose them to the powerhouse countries like Italy,” she adds.The show will showcase some of the newest summer trends of both male and females. The event will be attended by high profile government officials and business people including United Arab Emirates (UAE) billionaire Salah Ali Alakbar, who will be the guest of honour with former Miss Namibia and Miss Universe, Michelle McLean, take to the stage as MC.
The show will take place on November 30 at the Wernil parking (Top Floor) and will start at 20h30 of 21h00. Tickets are available at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers for N$250 and N$1000 for VIPs.
