A meeting called by the Mangetti Farmers Association (MFA) has rejected the new proposal of the Communal Land Boards to reduce the size of farming units in Oshikoto and Ohangwena regions.
Briefing the meeting on the outcome of a consultation between the MFA and Minister of Lands and Resettlement, Jerry Ekandjo, recently, the MFA chairman, Ismael Shailemo, said members and leaders of the farmers’ association are totally against the new arrangement spearheaded by the communal land boards. He said affected communities have not been consulted on the issue.
In terms of the proposal, the farming units in the Mangetti block will be reduced from 4??????’?????’?????????????
