WINDHOEK
Bank Windhoek together with Solo brand ambassador Stefan Ludik recently launched the second Banking Buzz School road show, which forms part of Bank Windhoek’s youth education programme.
The road show is an initiative that educates the Namibian youth on financial literacy, how a bank operates, why it is important to save and how to manage pocket money.
During the October 2007 Bank Windhoek Banking Buzz road show Ludik visited 10 schools in the Khomas and Hardap regions.
The March 2008 Bank Windhoek Banking Buzz road show took him to visit 24 schools in the Khomas, Erongo and Otjozondjupa regions.
Bank Windhoek is planning a third and fourth Banking Buzz road show during July and September 2008, which will enable the bank to reach its goal of visiting 100 schools during 2008.
“The Bank Windhoek Banking Buzz road show is a fun project with a strong educational angle through which the bank together with Stefan Ludik motivate the Namibian youth to start planning and saving for their future,” said Marlize Horn, Senior Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communication Services.
“We must start planning and saving now to ensure a successful future. We want to choose our own things, live our own lives and go our own ways. The Bank Windhoek Solo account is designed to give Namibian youth this desired financial independence,” said Ludik.
Bank Windhoek will launch the third Banking Buzz school road show in July 2008 during which Stefan Ludik will visit schools in the far north of Namibia.
