The amount of money rural households spend on energy sources could be used to repay renewable energy technologies from which households could make a profit, an energy expert has said.
A renewable energy baseline survey conducted at off grid sites last year found that households paid as much as N$200 per month for electricity. But this amount paid over five years at an interest rate of five percent per year would be sufficient to repay a solar home system worth about N$10??????’??
