Three people lost their lives in the North as ravaging waters kept on filling the pans. A minor from Ohakape village at Okalongo drowned when he went searching for his mates who were herding cattle. The body of Silas Shalongo was discovered on Thursday in a water pan. In another incident a one-year-old child, Ananias Kamutosi of Onanghulo village in Ohangwena Region drowned on Thursday after he followed an adult to a water pan. The deceased was discovered by a passerby who reported the incident to the police.
Dineinge George Shilonda, a 37-year-old male also drowned on Thursday as he left a drinking hole at the Onamhinda village. His body was discovered the next day in the vicinity of his homestead.
