The Chinese government has committed itself to construct two primary schools – one in Tsumkwe in the Otjozondjupa Region and one in Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region.
The two schools will be constructed at a total cost of N$10 million and. be built according to designs from the Chinese government in order to depict the friendly partnership of the Namibian and Chinese governments.
However, the Ministry of Education can modify the designs to suit the construction standards of Namibian schools.
In addition, the Ministry has to provide the following information: geology of the proposed sites of construction; layout map of the proposed construction sites; drawing of sewerage connection or disposal systems and finally the drawing of power and water supply or connection points.
