SWAKOPMUND
Stanley aka Ou Stakes and Jericho were in Swakopmund last week to put final touches to a song, which will be featured on Jericho’s upcoming “Lights Out” album.
The collaboration is regarded as the first-ever for a hip-hop and a ma|gaisa artist to work together!
A more interesting and exciting factor is that the song is produced by two of the country’s renowned music producers, Steven !Naruseb and Damaradikding!
Steven !Naruseb is a well known song writer/arranger/producer who did works for star music acts such as Phura, Stella, Stanley, Ralphal & Pelle, Killa-B, Lady May. Damaradikding would be regarded as a promising upcoming producer who co-produced most of the Matongo Family records and was a prominent member of this (recently parted) sensational group.
Both artists are established in their own respective genres. Stanley has a hit album on the market and is also a Sanlam NBC Music Awards 2007 Artists Of the Year nominee.
Jericho is one of Namibia’s premier hip-hop MCs who last year released “Check Who’s back”; so far the most successful hip-hop album in the country.
