The Cell One Road to Fame crew spent the past weekend in the Ohangwena Region and again attracted a crowd of more than 3 000.
Following an action-packed Saturday and Sunday, Richard Shaningwa emerged the Ohangwena regional finalist for the Cell One Road to Fame competition. Richard, a 24-year-old has lived and worked in the area for four years and works for one of the leading banks in the area.
With Lady May entertaining the crowds, the Sunday Funday attracted the biggest crowd, with over 3 100 people attending.
Cell One’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ivar Talmoen, said: “Every week we eagerly await the outcome of the finalist round on a Sunday evening and every week we are surprised by the size of the crowd. We, at Cell One, are pleased that Namibians have embraced our project and continue to support our products.”
The Cell One Road to Fame crew will be in the Oshikoto and Otjozondjupa regions this week with auditions in Grootfontein and Tsumeb. The Sunday Funday, to be held at the Norich Stadium in Tsumeb, will see local star, Jericho, entertain the crowds.
