WINDHOEK
Minister of Trade and Industry, Immanuel Ngatjizeko, has expressed satisfaction with the just-ended two-day Walvis Bay Spatial Development Initiative (WBSDI)/Namibia International Investment Conference which was initiated by Namibia and South Africa.
“I think we have had good discussions,” said Ngatjizeko at the closure of the conference on Thursday.
The two countries’ Heads of State, Hifikepunye Pohamba and Thabo Mbeki officially opened the event, which served as a platform to promote investment in Namibia.
The conference also featured a business-to-business, matching component aimed at securing investors for identified projects in key sectors such as agri-business, aquaculture, energy, transport and infrastructure, IT and telecommunications, manufacturing, mining and minerals, tourism and services.
