Education
Mural Launches
Vibrant vivid murals that tell stories about HIV/AIDS and convey HIV prevention messages will be formally launched this month at two local schools, Dawid Bezuidenhout High School in Khomasdal, and the Mandume Primary School in Katutura. The murals were painted by learners at both schools, in collaboration with local artists and art students from the John Muafangejo Art Centre. The project was funded by a PEPFAR (President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) grant from the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy.

The ceremony at Dawid Bezuidenhout took place yesterday and the ceremony at Mandume Primary School will take place on November 30 at 11h00.
The movie schedule is as follows:

November 21 – “In America”
A personal and poignant tale of a poor Irish family searching for a better life in America. Through the eyes of their spunky daughters, two anguished parents find hope and the ability to once again believe in love and magic…even amid the dangers of New York’s harrowing Hell’s Kitchen.

November 28 – “Meet the Parents”
Male nurse Greg Focker meets his girlfriend’s parents before proposing, but her suspicious father is every date’s worst nightmare.
