WINDHOEK
A six-day workshop, dealing with the bridge between traditional and contemporary theatre will be staged in the city of Malpils in Latvia next year, it was announced in a press statement.
The Theatre Method forms part of Latvia’s annual professional festival-fair bringing up the question of the bridge between tradition and contemporary in performing arts.
Namibian theatre activists are welcome to be part of the workshop.
“It is uniting performers from all over the world interested in the research of theatre methods between tradition and contemporary theatre. Participants will include actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, teachers, playwrights, stage designers, scriptwriters, theatre critics, journalists and cultural managers,” the statement said.
The workshop that will include lectures and master classes will be held from July 7 to 13, next year.
