WINDHOEK – Children of Namibia (ChiNamibia) has announced the fifth children’s festival set for September 29 at the Katutura Community Arts Centre (KCAC).
This year’s festival once again promises exciting activities such as a fashion show for children, kiddies music bands, kids games, and an exhibition of local and international cultural talents by kids as main attractions. Storytelling, cultural dances, traditional food-tasting and theatre performances by children are also on the menu. The event also offers children from disadvantaged schools and backgrounds a chance to perform on stage and to show their artistic flair. Like in the past, children from other countries, including Zambia and Botswana, will take part in the festival.
All schools are required to bring their cultural groups, choirs and drama groups to perform at this event. Entrance is free and the event starts at ten o’clock in the morning until one o’clock in the afternoon. Those interested in marketing their businesses at this event may contact the organisers via email: chinamibia@gmail.com. A fee of N$200 will be charged per stall.
