Matter of Clarity

Home Crime and Courts Matter of Clarity

A photo of Johannes Tangeni Mukwendje supplied by the Namibian police at the coast unfortunately appeared in the story with the headline ‘Walvis businessman succumbs after robbery attack’, wrongly implying he was among the gang involved in the alleged murder of Hans-Jörg Möller. The picture was provided by the police through a WhatsApp group in Walvis Bay. Mbanga Siyomunji, the legal representative of Mukwendje came to our offices yesterday to clear up the matter. Siyomunji explained that Mukwendje was never questioned by the police in connection with the robbery and murder. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to Mukwendje. – Editor
