According to UK-based bi-weekly newspaper Exeter Express & Echo, Welwitschias fullback Chrysander Botha is set to part ways with his English club Exeter Chiefs after the club opted not to renew his contract when it expires at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old Botha, who arrived at Exeter Chiefs in 2014, has had his fair share of challenges getting some game time at the club, also partly disrupted by a broken leg and dislocated ankle he suffered while on international duty during Namibia’s Northern Hemisphere Tour in November 2014.
Upon his arrival in 2014, Botha made an encouraging start, scoring a debut try in Exeter’s 52-0 thumping of London Welsh. Just last Monday, Botha also featured in Exeter’s Aviva A-League title triumph over Northampton Wanderers – Additional info: www.exeterexpressandecho.co.uk
