Comedy lovers will agree that the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) was the place to be last Thursday night when Stellar Entertainment presented the ‘Nama with a Wambo Attitude’ comedy show.

Despite a slight delay in starting the audience patiently waited patiently, while comedian Mark, the MC, used the time to brag about how he is hungry for fame.

Comic Fresh from Windhoek North was first on the stage and yet stole the show. For 20 minutes the audience couldn’t understand if he has begun or they must still wait for him to start.

He picks up very well though, enlightening the audience on who built Windhoek and how the Harambee Plan must work regarding the ownership of the city.

“Windhoek was built by Wambo, Nama, Damara and Herero before those boers came and separate them to the Wambo location, Nama location, Damara location and Herero location, which is known as Kapana now,” he joked.

He said for the four tribes to unite they built another location Wanaheda, an acronym for Wambo, Nama, Herero and Damara. “Those are the only Namibians that can say they are from Windhoek. Other tribes have to implement the Harambee Plan,” Fresh from Windhoek North continued.

He joked that with a Damara president in power restaurants now have donkey on their menus, stressing that donkey is no different because zebras have been on the platter and it is also a donkey, but just a pretty one.

He had the audience sniggring by thanking President Geingob for giving Namibia the first First Lady. “For the first time we have a First Lady. Up to now we just have been having the First Zali,” Fresh opined.

Taking the stage from Fresh was The Real Mich, who proceeded to amuse the audience enlesssly as he went on about how he wants to be a Wambo, because they are the new whites and how Damaras cannot be trusted.

“Wambo is the new white. When you are Wambo you automatically qualify to be a struggle kid,” he joked.
