Windhoek
Auas Valley Shopping Mall recently provided four primary schools nearest to the mall an opportunity to employ their art skills and creativity and thereby stand a chance to win project support for their school. The mall invited the schools to participate in a competition by painting pre-cut Easter eggs, provided to them, to use as decoration in the mall.
Suiderhof Primary School, Kleine Professor College, Windhoek Gymnasium Primary and Pionierspark Primary School are competing for prizes to the total value of N$10 000, in the form of project support: N$5 000 to the winning school, N$3 000 to the runner-up and N$2 000 for the school in third place.
Auas Valley Shopping Mall, through retailers in the mall, will then provide support to project needs expressed by the specific schools. The decorated Easter eggs will be hung in the Auas Valley Shopping Mall in time for the mall’s next late night shopping event which takes place on Thursday, 17 March.
This event, where shops in the mall keep their doors open for extended hours, provides the opportunity for clients to do their shopping without rushing and in a relaxed atmosphere. Shops such as Pick ‘n Pay, Safari Den and Auas Vet Med will be open until 21H00 to give clients enough time to shop for the upcoming holidays, whether it is to fill the food cupboards, get all the necessities for a camping trip or taking care of their pets.
With Jonno’s Bistro and fast food restaurants, Steers, Debonairs and Fish Aways also open, customers don’t have to worry about dinner, but can enjoy an evening out at the mall. Retailers in the mall are preparing to offer clients special promotions during the late night shopping event, with products that will be available at special prices from 17h00 until 21h00 on March 17 only.
The winning schools will also be announced on March 17 at 18h00 at the mall.
