Myles Munroe Junior, the son of the renowned leadership guru and motivational speaker, the late Dr Myles Munroe, will visit Namibia next week.
The 31-year-old Munroe, who will set foot for the first time on Namibian soil, is the main speaker at a leadership summit scheduled for next Thursday. Munroe will teach on the importance of mentoring, how to move on from adversity, finding your vision for life and transformational leadership.
Pastor Haruna Goroh of Greater Love Ministries, whose church will host Munroe, explained that the seminar will see the participation of the younger generation and impart in them leadership skills.
Hence, invitations were also sent out to young leaders, entrepreneurs and youth organisations to attend the event. Goroh who spoke in an interview with New Era yesterday said that his organisation had hosted the late Dr Munroe a number of times since 1998.
That year’s summit, Goroh said, was opened by President Hage Geingob who at the time was prime minister. “We had a lot of participants since then,” said Goroh.
In 2013, the late Munroe emphasised the need for leaders in Africa to train, empower and release the upcoming generation.
“He emphasised so much on passing on the baton to the next generation, little did we know that he would pass on the baton (to his son) through death,” Goroh said yesterday.
He also said part of hosting Munroe Junior is to encourage him that his father has passed on but he can do even more than he has done.
“He (Munroe Junior) was raised under the teachings of the father since childhood. His sole leadership lived before him,” said Goroh. Dr Munroe died in a plane crash last November.
‘Understanding Your Potential’, ‘The Purpose and Power of Love and Marriage’, and ‘Rediscovering the Kingdom’ are but some of the books the late Munroe authored.
