Teen to release debut album by Matheus Hamutenya

Home Time Out Teen to release debut album by Matheus Hamutenya

Keetmanshoop

Bethanie based teenager, Christal Meintjie, is set to release her first ever album next month titled Amazing grace.

The shy Grade Five learner of the Schmellenville Primary School will launch her CD on September 5 in Bethanie’s community hall, with part of the profit from the CD sales to be given to four schools surrounding Bethanie.  The nine-track CD is a mixture of gospel and high school music. Irene Meintjie, the teenager’s mother, and Joanie Mckay, her manager are confident that the album is as good as any and it’s a must have for gospel lovers.

Meintjie speaking on behalf of her daughter says her daughter started singing at an early age and grew up singing all the time at home. About 250 copies of the album are currently available at N$ 100 a copy and if all copies are sold, the identified schools will each receive N$ 5000 from the sales.

“People should really give us a helping hand as it will benefit many school children” she notes calling on the business fraternity and community at large to go out in full swing and support her daughter. Tickets for the CD launch are N$ 20 for children, N$ 40 for adults and N$ 150 for VIPs.
