WINDHOEK– AS.Architecture- Studio presents the Young Architects in Africa exhibition at the Franco- Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) Gallery.
This exhibition is a showcase of selected projects from the competition they took part in in France in 2014. The exhibition highlighted the plight of young architects as they search for an architectural language that emphasises and encompasses the social, environmental, vernacular and participative nature of the continent. The architecture exhibition welcomes emerging African architects to highlight the creativity and originality of new African constructions, and to guide them towards international recognition.
Amongst other exhibitions is a winning project the ‘Dordabis Community Spine’, a social intervention by young Windhoek based architects in the village of Dordabis. The exhibition is open until May 9.
