Organisers of the Okakarara Annual Trade Fair, which officially starts on Monday and ends next Sunday, has promised to make this year’s edition an enticing and empowering platform for all small and big businesses.
This year’s edition will mark the 15th edition of the annual trade fair, which is the second biggest in the country after the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair.
The country’s Vice President and patron of the Okakarara Annual Trade Fair, Nangolo Mbumba will spearhead the official opening ceremony and will deliver his keynote address to the various exhibitors and the general public.
Head of the Okakarara Annual Trade Fair Society, Brooklyn Muniazo shared with New Era that they want to make this year’s event much bigger and better for all exhibitors and attendees, by creating an environment that will allow entrepreneurs to connect and exchange ideas.
“This is one of the biggest trade fairs in the country and we want to continue giving all our visitors and exhibitors an unforgettable experience. We want it to be an occasion for everyone to enjoy and feel at home. We want all our local business people to come and showcase their products and services, and also learn from their colleagues in the process,” said Muniazo.
He said close to 40 companies will be exhibiting their products and services, including government ministries and agencies, as well as private entities. As per tradition, the kiddies park will again return this year and will have a total of nine exhibitors showing various kiddies’ products. The agricultural show will be one of the main attractions at the event, where local upcoming and commercial farmers will be showcasing their animals and various farming methods and techniques.
Mobile food vans, kapana by the local vendors, and fully-fledged information sessions featuring numerous companies will also be on display at the event.
