Consistency, individual brilliance and fighting for each other will be some of the key ingredients Tura Magic Ladies FC head coach Shama Gure will be relying on when they face Omaheke Queens and Unam Bokkies tomorrow and Sunday in the FNB Women’s Super League.
Magic Ladies will square off against the in-form Omaheke Queens at the NFA Technical Centre in the capital, and coach Gure is positive his charges will get the job done to ease the pressure heading into Sunday’s clash against Bokkies at the same venue.
Omaheke Queens are still very much rejuvenated by last weekend’s 3-2 win over Ramblers Angels and will be out to maintain that good run against Magic Ladies. Despite Omaheke Queens’ strong run during last weekend’s action, Gure remains unbothered, as he believes
his side has all the required capabilities and right attitude to pull one over their opponents, adding that a clean injury list is a further boost to their ambitions this weekend.
“We have been preparing quite well all these days, and I can comfortably say the girls are ready to go out there and claim maximum points. It is obviously going to be a tough weekend for us, as we will be playing against two very strong opponents who are also coming from wins last weekend; so, we will have to be ready. But we have a strong squad of young and experienced players who are always ready to fight for the team and strive to be individually great. So, I will be relying on those qualities this weekend,” he said confidently.
Gure further maintained they will skeptically approach both matches, as Bokkies are also coming from a 3-0 win over Ongwediva Queens and they too would be aiming for a win against Magic Ladies.
“We will take it one match at a time, meaning our immediate focus should be to do well against Omaheke Queens on Saturday, and once that is out of the way, we then turn our attention to Bokkies on Sunday. Also against them, we will need to do well. But I have absolute faith in my players and I’m positive they will all come to the party this weekend.”
