Chief executive officer Ester Kali continues to accumulate accolades, this time being recognised as a dynamic leader as well as for her exceptional leadership and strategic vision at the helm of Letshego Holdings Namibia.

Kali sccoped the Banking CEO of the Year Namibia at the 2024 Global Banking and Finance Awards for Letshego’s remarkable growth and innovation achieved under her guidance.

A fully-fledged financial services’ provider, Letshego Holdings Namibia demonstrated a commitment to excellence by securing three prestigious awards at the 2024 Global Banking and Finance Awards. 

“These accolades not only highlight the company’s outstanding performance, but also its dedication to making a positive impact in the communities it serves,” the company said. 

Some of the award highlights for Letshego include Best Social Bond Namibia 2024, where the company was honoured for its pioneering efforts in social impact financing. 

“The award for the Best Social Bond reflects the company’s commitment to addressing social challenges through innovative financial solutions. This award is a testament to Letshego’s dedication to improving the lives of ordinary Namibians by funding projects that promote economic development and social welfare,” Letshego added. 

By being named Best Micro-Finance Bank Namibia 2024, Letshego said this recognition underscores its pivotal role in providing accessible financial services to underbanked and underserved communities. By offering accessible microfinance solutions, Letshego empowers individuals and micro-small businesses, fostering financial inclusion and economic growth.

In terms of community impact, Letshego pointed out its success stems from a strong commitment to improving lives. Its financial solutions cater to the unique needs of Namibians, promoting financial inclusion and empowering individuals and micro-small businesses.

In 2024, Letshego issued a N$260 million social bond. These funds were used to finance productive lending to boost economic activity, showing the company’s dedication to making a real difference in the communities it serves.
