UpNext season two has drawn to a close, marking the end of a 10-week journey that married style, storytelling and empowerment.
At the heart of it was Oshiwa Fashion Designs, the brand led by 23-year-old designer Agnella Mulisa, whose work became the visual and cultural heartbeat of the season.
Every Wednesday, audiences were treated to new visuals showcasing Oshiwa’s designs, a series that honoured Namibian women and local creativity. For Mulisa, it was not just exposure, but proof of growth.
“It’s been rewarding to see my work and creativity shared. Every post felt like a small celebration of the hours, effort and passion I poured into each design,” she said.
The collaboration was the vision of Martin Kapuka, Executive Creative Director of UpNext, who described this season as a purposeful platform for visibility and pride.
“We didn’t wait for validation; we built a space that allows us to market, document and position ourselves with pride. At the core of it all is our determination to celebrate Namibian excellence,” he explained.
The season brought fresh eyes to Oshiwa Fashion Designs, expanded the reach of the UpNext platform, and sparked conversations around women, style and representation.
The visuals featured muses Jamie-Lee Loss, Kandeya Shoombe and Loini Jonas, each bringing their energy to the collection.
Looking ahead, both Mulisa and Kapuka see the conclusion of season two not as an ending, but as a stepping stone.
Mulisa is already working on new pieces and opportunities, while Kapuka confirmed that plans for season three are in motion, promisaing something even bolder, more refined, and more connected to the needs and dreams of Namibia’s creative generation.
For now, season two stands as a tribute to what happens when vision, persistence and passion meet and when local fashion is given the stage it deserves.
