OTJIWARONGO – A male employee of the Central North Regional Electricity Distributor (Cenored) at Otjiwarongo whose spouse tested positive for Covid-19 last week, also tested positive for the virus over the weekend.
Cenored last Wednesday temporarily closed its three buildings in Otjiwarongo following the positive test result of the employee’s spouse on Tuesday.
Cenored’s Executive Manager for Corporate Services, Ekonia Mudjanima in an interview with Nampa yesterday said the employee’s Covid-19 results came out on Sunday afternoon.
He had already gone into isolation on Tuesday, said Mudjanima.
he three buildings which are still closed are the headquarters, engineering offices near Mediclinic and that of the operations department adjacent to Monitronics.
Cenored plans to reopen for business today.
“Our three buildings were all disinfected last week by officials of the Ministry of Health and Social Services, therefore we are confident that we can resume duties as of today,” Mudjanima said.
The company has approximately 250 employees at its offices in the Otjozondjupa, Omaheke, Kunene and Oshikoto regions. – Nampa
