NNN calls for Swapo victory in November elections

ENGELA – President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged Swapo Party members to secure a win for the party in the upcoming November 2025 elections.

The president made these remarks during a Swapo Party rally at Eemwandi Domission in the Engela constituency.

She emphasised the need to maintain strong coordination to ensure efficient service delivery through her office, extending to regional councils and local authorities. She noted that those elected must be accountable according to the party’s manifesto, ensuring that all constituencies and towns benefit from the planned development programs.

“We must sustain proper communication and coordination to achieve effective service delivery. My office will work closely with regional councils and local authorities to ensure that every Namibian experiences the results of our development efforts,” said Nandi-Ndaitwah.

She indicated that the Swapo Party is founded on a tradition of service, unity, and dedication to the people, and that it is every member’s duty to secure victory in the upcoming elections.

Nandi-Ndaitwah stated that she will use the authority granted to her by both the Swapo Party and the Namibian Constitution to ensure that councillors meet the expectations of the Namibian people, allowing key projects to be implemented successfully.  She reaffirmed her commitment to transparency, accountability, and equitable development for all citizens.

Nandi-Ndaitwah also expressed hope for good rainfall this rainy season, which often affects schools such as Onghala, Ohaingu, and Shingunguma Primary Schools.

She urged the Ministry of Works and Transport to find timely solutions. “There are encouraging signs that we will have good rainfall this season. However, we must be prepared, especially for areas that may become difficult to access. I call on the Ministry of Works and Transport to plan and provide practical solutions for schools and communities affected,” she said. She further appealed to residents in the northern regions to be patient with occasional water supply interruptions affecting the Oshana, Ohangwena, Omusati, and Oshikoto regions.

She said NamWater is upgrading its ageing infrastructure, which will eventually ensure sufficient water supply for both urban and rural areas.

“I understand that water disruptions can be frustrating, but the current upgrades are for the long-term benefit of everyone. Once completed, we will have a more reliable water supply system serving both towns and villages,” she said.

She encouraged citizens to support Swapo’s vision of prosperity and peace, emphasising that the country’s progress depends on the collective efforts of its people. “Together, we can secure victory, uphold accountability, and continue building a Namibia where no one is left behind,” she said.

Nandi-Ndaitwah concluded by urging Namibians to stay united, focused, and committed to development.
