Netball Namibia playoffs set for February … as 11 clubs battle for promotion

Netball Namibia (NN) has confirmed that the much-anticipated netball play-offs will take place sometime in February, although the exact dates are yet to be announced as the organisation finalises logistical arrangements, league coordinator Eliana Seibes revealed. 

“The playoffs will see 11 clubs from across the country compete for promotion. However, only four teams will earn a spot in the league,” Seibes added.

Wanderers head coach Erica van Zyl shared that the club has started with their training sessions to prepare themselves for the competition.

In addition to preparing for the play-offs, NN is also in the process of filling the vacant secretary general position. The role was advertised in late December 2025, with applications closing yesterday, highlighting NN’s focus on strengthening its administrative structure ahead of the new season.

The clubs set to compete for promotion include Hardap region – Mariental Netball Club, Kavango East region – Smart Girls Netball Club, Kavango West region – Wellness Warriors Netball Club, Khomas region – Go Monate Fella Netball Club, Ohangwena region – DEAC Netball Club, Omusati region – Dynamite Netball Club, Oshana region – Okamwandi Netball Club, Otjozondjupa region – Mighty Gunners Netball Club (ended in 9th position in the MTC NNPL), Otjozondjupa region – Hano Netball Club, Zambezi region – Katima Jaguars Netball Club, Khomas region – Wanderers Netball Club (ended in 10th position in the MTC NNPL).
