With an increased sponsorship of N$300 000, the Bank Windhoek Ramblers Soccer Tournament will host its fifth edition in Windhoek and Keetmanshoop in June 2026. 

The competition aims to provide a structured environment in which emerging players can develop their skills, gain competitive experience, and attract the attention of scouts and professional clubs.

The event will see 14 teams, comprising six from Windhoek and another eight from Keetmanshoop, compete for bragging rights. In the past five years, young football players who have showcased exceptional talent have been selected to play for the Namibian National Football Team, also known as The Brave Warriors.

Bank Windhoek’s Head of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Social Responsibility, Bronwyn Moody, highlighted Bank Windhoek’s continued commitment to youth development and community upliftment. 

“We believe in investing in the future of Namibian sport. The U/21 Soccer Tournament is more than just a competition; this is a stepping stone for young athletes to realise their dreams and build meaningful careers in football.”

A representative of Ramblers Soccer Academy Executive Committee, Klaus van Neil, commended the Bank for supporting youth sports development initiatives and added that the tournament has grown in popularity and cemented its place on the local football calendar. He further called upon all community members to come out in full support, as entry to both tournament venues in Windhoek and Keetmanshoop is free.

The top teams in both events will walk away with N$10 000 each, followed by N$7 500 for the second place and N$5 000 for the third-place teams. 

The Windhoek games will take place from 17 to 20 June, while the Keetmanshoop matches will take place between 26 and 28 June 2026. In addition to the matches, the event will foster community engagement and promote healthy lifestyles among young people. More information will be announced in the coming weeks.
